Salix purpurea "Nana", also called bitter willow or dwarf willow, is a small deciduous shrub or tree with a compact, bushy, rounded shape. The small, elongated leaves are blue-green on top and lighter on the underside. From March to April, this dwarf willow flowers with female and male catkins on the bare wood.
