Forms thin branches with matt green elongated leaves and clusters of fragrant creamy-white to white-pink flowers. After flowering, the egg-shaped leaves appear, which turn a beautiful purple in the autumn.
The shrub is very similar to the Forsythia and may also be pruned after flowering to maintain its shape.
Requires well-drained, moist soil in a wind-free place.
