Rhododendron 'Gomer Waterer' is a medium-sized, evergreen, rhodo with a round, compact shape. The leaves are large, elliptical, leathery, thick, dark green. This catawbiense hybrid blooms mainly from May to June, with funnel-shaped, lilac-white to pale lilac flowers with fine green-yellow spots in the throat, grouped in clusters of up to 24 flowers. Rhododendron 'Gomer Waterer' likes a position in filtered sunlight or partial shade, sheltered from chilly winds and with a shaded root zone, but it can also handle some full sun. It requires an acidic, moist, well-drained soil that should never be allowed to dry out completely, requires little pruning and is hardy.
