Sasa veitchii
Sasa veitchii is a small evergreen bamboo with a dense, compact habit. The large and broad leaves are first glossy dark green, but in the autumn they develop wide creamy-white leaf margins. The culms are thin, elastic, densely branched and frosted green at first. Later they take on a purple-green hue. Sasa veitchii likes a sheltered position in the sun or partial shade and requires moist, but well-drained fertile soil. This bamboo is reasonably to hardy in a southern or western orientation. In contrast to many other species, it can also tolerate a fair amount of drought and is also tolerant to sea wind, which makes it suitable for the coastal region. Can be used as a solitary, low windbreak, planting or ground cover.

Rheum rhabarbarum
Rheum rhabarbarum, called garden rhubarb in Dutch, is a deciduous perennial with a pol-forming habit and large, shallow-lobed, hand-veined dark green leaves on sturdy red edible stems. The Fargesia denudata Xian 2 is an elegant, non-invasive bamboo that is suitable for tubs and the open ground.
The height of the Xian 2 is between 300 and 400 cm and has smaller and more graceful leaves than those of the Fargesia denudata. The leaf is fresh green in color. Fargesia nitida 'Gansu'
Fargesia nitida 'Gansu' is similar to Fargesia nitida 'Vulcano' but more refined. Is also smaller (3m) and grows more compact, the shoots grow close to the mother plant.
The stems are dark green in the first years, but from the 3rd year they turn dark purple (almost black) which is very beautiful with the narrow grey-green leaves.
