Hypericum 'Hidcote'

Hypericum "Hidcote" is a small semi-evergreen shrub that blooms from late July to September with golden yellow star-shaped flowers. This autumn hay type has medium green to dark green, elongated and lance-shaped leaves, is densely branched and has a broad growing shape, sometimes the branches can hang slightly. Hypericum "Hidcote" likes a sunny or partial shade and does well in almost any soil, can withstand some drought and can be pruned back radically every year in the spring. This hypericum is very resistant to disease, can also tolerate some sea wind and is air pollution tolerant. It attracts bees and butterflies, is fairly hardy and can be used in group planting as a hedge or ground cover.
