Chionanthus virginicus
Chionanthus virginicus, the snowflake tree or shrub, is particularly decorative and can grow up to 7m in good conditions. It flowers from May to June with graceful and delicately scented white plumes. The leaves are leathery, dark green on top and somewhat lighter in color below, turning yellow-green to brown in autumn. In September, olive-like almost black fruits also adorn the female Chionanthus shrub (if a male specimen is also nearby). The snowflake tree is well tolerant of air pollution and thus suitable for the urban environment. However, it is sensitive to wind and road salt.

Choisya hybr. 'Aztec Pearl'
Choisya 'Aztec Pearl' is a hybrid, a cross of choisya ternata and choisya arizonica. This fine-leaved cultivar blooms with star-shaped fragrant white flowers in May and sometimes even more in autumn. When the leaves are slightly bruised, a strong citrus scent is created to which the plant owes its Dutch name: Mexican orange blossom. Choisya likes a position in full sun or light shade and thrives in fertile, acidic, neutral or alkaline soil. Pruning after the first bloom promotes good rebloom in September, October.

Choisya ternata 'Apple Blossom' is a bushy upright shrub whose leaves are much finer than the other cultivars. The narrow leaves are aromatic, leathery bright green.

Miscanthus gig. 'Jubilaris'
Miscanthus giganteus 'Jubilaris' is also known as the Chinese giant reed and is related to the Poaceae and one of the largest ornamental grasses.
This ornamental grass grows to a height of 250/300 cm and should not be missing in a garden where plants with an exotic or tropical appearance are welcome.
The fresh green leaves are nicely covered along the length of the leaves with yellow stripes along the entire length of the leaves.
