Choisya hybr. 'Aztec Pearl'

Choisya 'Aztec Pearl' is a hybrid, a cross of choisya ternata and choisya arizonica. This fine-leaved cultivar blooms with star-shaped fragrant white flowers in May and sometimes even more in autumn. When the leaves are slightly bruised, a strong citrus scent is created to which the plant owes its Dutch name: Mexican orange blossom. Choisya likes a position in full sun or light shade and thrives in fertile, acidic, neutral or alkaline soil. Pruning after the first bloom promotes good rebloom in September, October.
