Colocasia 'Black Magic'
Colocasia esculenta 'Black Magic', in Dutch called black taro or elephant ear. The leaves are purple-black, ovate with a heart-shaped base and tapered at the top, they can grow up to 60 cm long and serve as an umbrella in the tropics. Elephant ear blooms in July and August with typical arondskin-like inflorescence, the small female and male flowers are close together in a white to white-yellow spike. Colocasia esculenta 'Black Magic' likes a position in full sun or partial shade and a permanently moist, acidic to neutral soil.This plant is moderately hardy and can only be kept evergreen as a houseplant or in a heated greenhouse. Sasa tsuboiana
Sasa tsuboiana, also known as coarse-leaved bamboo, is a medium-sized evergreen bamboo with a dense, compact habit that becomes somewhat bendy at a later age.
