Acorus calamus
Acorus calamus, called calamus in Dutch, is a deciduous, water-purifying, bank or swamp plant with a carpet-forming, proliferating habit. The leaves are sword-shaped, iris-like, aromatic and wrinkled at the edge, the leaf color is light green. Calamus blooms from June to August with discreet, small green flowers that are densely grouped in 6 to 8 cm long cobs. In our region, the plant only rarely forms red berries. Acorus calamus prefers a position in full sun, partial shade or shade and moist, soggy to wet soil. The plant is very hardy, attracts butterflies and bees, is pest free, tolerant to sea wind and good disease resistance.

Aristolochia macrophylla
Aristolochia macrophylla, also called German pipe, pipe flower or muff pipe in Dutch, is a vigorously upright, deciduous climbing plant with large heart-shaped dark green leaves that grow over each other like roof tiles, forming a dense foliage. The German pipe blooms from May to July with yellow-green to yellow-brown flowers, which, if you're imagining, look like a curved pipe neck and also work perfectly as an insect trap. Aristolochia macrophylla likes a position in partial shade or sun, but especially appreciates it if it does not stand with its feet in full sun. The plant is hardy, low maintenance, fairly sea breeze and air pollution tolerant, good disease resistant.

Abelia grand. 'Prostrata'
Abelia grandiflora 'Prostrata', small, semi-evergreen shrub, broad growing shrub with white-pink flowers, dark green leaves and beautiful purple-pink discoloration of the leaf edge in autumn. This abelia is moderately hardy, deserves a sheltered place in sun or partial shade, thrives in all types of soil from weakly acidic to slightly calcareous, does not like soil that is too wet in winter, the flowers are slightly fragrant and attract butterflies and bees. Abelia grandiflora 'Prostrata' is also fairly tolerant of air pollution and exposure to sea wind.

Callitriche verna
Callitriche verna, called little star duck in Dutch, is an evergreen oxygenating plant or floating plant with a wide distribution area, the plant is also native to Belgium and the Netherlands. Little Star Duckweed has small, narrow, elliptical, bright green leaves that float on the surface of the water in a rosette form. Callitriche verna blooms in spring with small, axillary, white-green flowers made up of 1 stamen or 1 pistil. This oxygenating plant can be planted in acidic to neutral soil at a water depth of 20 to 50cm, but can also be used perfectly as a floating plant or as a marsh plant. Ceratophyllum demersum
Ceratophyllum demersum, called thorn or coarse hornwort in Dutch, is a submerged aquatic plant without roots, with a very high water-purifying capacity. This oxygenating plant is a true cosmopolitan and occurs almost worldwide in sufficiently deep and fresh water. The leaves are dark green, branched fork-shaped, standing in whorls on long stems. Campsis summer jazz 'Fire Trumpet'
'Campsis Summer Jazz Fire Trumpet' is a hardy trumpet climber which blooms exuberantly and for longer with plenty of sun. The red-flowered Campsis grows more compact than other varieties from the Summer Jazz series, with a maximum height of 3 meters. The late summer bloomer tends to form a shrub. If you want to let the Campsis climb, it is useful to support it with, for example, a climbing frame at the beginning of its growth. This Campsis is a self-adhesive climbing plant, which means that small adhesive roots are formed from the branches. These suture roots will attach themselves along the wall or fence.
