Parthenocissus tricuspidata "veitchii", also called Virginia creeper, is a self-adhesive, deciduous climbing vine with a vigorous, upright habit and decorative, three-lobed, conical leaves, with a very light green to soft bronze hue in spring, glossy medium green in summer and bright red fall colors. This Virginia creeper flowers from June to July, with inconspicuous greenish-yellow flowers, often hidden under the leaves, followed later in autumn by small, blue-black berries. Parhenocissus tricuspidata "veitchii" likes a position in full sun, but also does well in partial shade. The plant likes a well-drained, humus-rich soil, is very hardy and, once established, also good drought tolerant.

The leaves are dark green, oval to lanceolate, glossy and sometimes turn a beautiful deep red in winter. This star jasmine flowers from June to September with a lot of strongly fragrant, star-shaped white flowers in hanging racemes.
