Carex test. 'Prairie Fire'

Carex testaceae "prairie fire" is called orange sedge in English and is a small evergreen grass with narrow, overhanging, olive-green leaves in spring that slowly turn bronze in summer and turn a beautiful orange-red in autumn. This sedge flowers from June to August with inconspicuous red-brown flower spikes. This grass prefers a position in full sun, partial shade and a well-permeable, especially not too wet soil in the winter months. The plant is fairly drought tolerant, tolerates sea wind and air pollution.
