Origanum vulgare "Compactum", also called marjoram or mountain joy, is a compact, semi-evergreen, herbaceous perennial, with a bushy, carpet-forming habit. The leaves are broad, ovate, slightly hairy and dark green in color. Marjoram flowers from July to August, with purple-pink to pink-white flowers in branched clusters.
