Iris setosa
Iris setosa, called bushy iris in English, is an upright, pol-forming and rhizomatous, evergreen, perennial plant. The leaves are long, narrow, lanceolate and medium green in color. This beardless iris blooms in May and June with fragrant, purple-blue, orris-like flowers with pendulous petals and a light white mark near the center of the flower. Iris setosa likes a position in full sun or light shade and a neutral to acidic, humus-rich, moist soil, it can also be planted with its feet in water.
