Cortaderia selloana, called pampas grass in Dutch, is an evergreen grass species with an upright, clump-forming habit. The leaves are narrow, drooping, rough to the touch and colored medium green. Cortaderia selloana blooms from August to October with decorative, silky, elongated, creamy-white flower panicles. The plant prefers a sunny position and fertile, drained soil.
