Narcissus poeticus 'Actaea' is an enchanting variety that was introduced in 1927 by the Dutch bulb growers G.Lubbe & Zoon from Oegstgeest.
It is a sweet-smelling daffodil with white flowers and a red-rimmed yellow crown.
This is one of the best daffodils that bloom in April: they grow well in a lawn, but are also beautiful in a border with dark hellebore.
