Actaea simplex

This is probably the most famous black cohosh, which is probably partly due to the late flowering period. Flowering often only starts well at the end of September. This combines well with shrubs with a beautiful fall color. The white flowers are then present in overhanging, rather thick spikes. The plants usually do not grow higher than one and a half meters.
