Jasione laevis 'Blaulicht'

Jasione laevis 'Blaulicht' forms a cushion of gray-green leaves from which bright light-blue fuzzy flower heads appear on fine stems in summer.

This cultivar is by far the only one that is readily available in Belgium and the Netherlands.

Desires a warm, south-facing spot protects from cold winds.

Native to dry mountain lawns, grows carelessly, reseeds easily and spreads through offshoots in sunny beds and rock gardens.

It is undemanding, but prefers acidic sandy soil and tolerates dry periods fairly well.
