Ceanothus del. 'Henri Defosse'

Ceanothus x delileanus 'Henri Desfossé', this American lilac or sickle flower is a medium-sized, round-shaped ceanothus, the shrub blooms with indigo blue flowers that contrast beautifully with the light green leaves. The flowering period is from July to September, this American lilac flowers on last year's wood. It likes a position in full sun or light shade and does well in all soils that are not too nutrient-rich and wet. Growing conditions that are too wet can cause root rot. In severe winters, some leaf drop and freezing can occur, protecting young plants. Ceanothus is good sea wind tolerant.
