Delphinium 'Piccolo'

Delphinium 'Piccolo', this delphinium from the belladonna group is a deciduous perennial with a sturdy, upright, well-branched shape. The leaves are three to five lobes, finely divided and medium green in color. Delphinium 'Piccolo' blooms from June to August with medium-sized deep gentian blue flowers on stems up to 1m high. Removing faded flowers is important to stimulate re-flowering.This delphinium likes a position in full sun sheltered from strong winds and prefers a soil that is not too acidic, fertile and well-drained. The plant is very hardy, attracts bees and butterflies and is also suitable for an urban environment.
