Phlox 'Atropurpurea'

Phlox subulata "atropurpurea" is an evergreen flame flower with a compact, turf-forming and ground covering habit and dark green, elongated, almost needle-like leaves. This phlox blooms from April to May with magenta-red, light-scented, star-shaped, solitary flowers. It likes a position in full sun and a very well drained, fertile soil. Phlox is ph flexible. Phlox subulata "atropurpurea" is very hardy, drought tolerant, tolerates air pollution and is generally pest free.
