Syringa vulg. 'Belle de Nancy'
Syringa vulgaris "Belle de Nancy" is a medium to large, deciduous lilac with a bushy, wide upright habit. This cultivar is 3 m high and wide after 10 years. The leaves are deeply heart-shaped and dark green in color. The double flowers are lilac-pink, strongly scented and are grouped in loose racemes up to 30 cm long. This lilac likes a position in full sun and needs a minimum of 5 to 6 hours of sun to bloom profusely. As a soil type, it prefers neutral or calcareous soil. Syringa vulgaris "Belle de Nancy" is hardy, tolerates sea wind and air pollution.
