Incarvillea delavayi
Incarvillea delavayi, also called garden gloxinia in Dutch, is a deciduous perennial with an upright and rosette-forming habit. The leaves are long, compound, medium green and have coarse serrated leaflets. Garden gloxinia blooms from June to July with large pink to rose-red scented trumpet-shaped flowers with a yellow throat. Incarvillea delavayi likes a position in full sun or partial shade and all well-drained soil. The plant is reasonably to hardy, drought tolerant and absolutely cannot tolerate wet feet.
