Iris germanica 'Ola Kala' is a high upright, pol-forming and rhizomatous perennial. The evergreen leaves are sword-shaped and gray-green in color. This bearded iris blooms in May and June with fragrant, dark yellow orris-like flowers with an orange-yellow beard. iris g. 'ola kala' prefers a position in full sun or partial shade and does well in any well-drained soil type. This iris is very hardy and once established it also tolerates drought well, it also tolerates sea breeze and air pollution quite well.
