Epimedium versicolor 'Sulphureum'

Epimedium versicolor 'Sulphureum' is called elven flower in Dutch and is a small, evergreen, ground-covering perennial with a turf-forming habit. The leaves are heart-shaped and spiky-edged, the young leaves are red-green, the summer leaves are light green. Epimedium versicolor 'Sulphureum' flowers in April and May with sulfur-yellow, cup-shaped, spotted flowers up to 2 cm in size. This elven flower likes a position in the shade or partial shade and a well-drained, humus-rich soil. The plant is hardy, fairly drought tolerant, pest free and resistant to many diseases.
