Calamagrostis acutiflora "Karl Foerster", also called plume truss cane in Dutch, is a very popular, deciduous compact upright ornamental grass with narrow and stiff gray-green pointed leaves that hang slightly. Plume rattan flowers from June to August with decorative red bronze flower spikes that first turn straw-colored and gold-colored in autumn.
