Molinia caer. 'Variegata'
Molinia caerulea "Variegata", also called variegated pipe straw, is a small, deciduous grass species with very upright, slender flower stems and a bushy, clump-forming habit. The leaves are variegated, gray-green with yellow-white vertical stripes, linear, grass-like and turn straw yellow in autumn. This molinia blooms from July to October, with airy, purple-brown flower panicles that turn yellow-brown later in summer and autumn. Molinia arundinacea "variegata" prefers a position in full sun or partial shade and is hardy, tolerant to sea wind and air pollution and generally both disease and pest free.
