Rosa 'Neon'
Rosa "neon" (syn "kordatura") is a small floribunda rose that was introduced by kordes in 1999. This rose, with adr label, has a broad, bushy and compact shape with medium-sized, dark green, serrated, highly glossy leaves. It blooms abundantly in summer with small, semi-double, carmine red flowers (diam. 5 cm). Rosa "neon" likes a sunny position and a slightly moist, but very permeable soil. It does well in all soil types. This rose is hardy, tolerates sea wind and air pollution, attracts bees and insects and is disease resistant.

Orontium aquaticum
Orontium aquaticum, also called golden club or golden butt, is a swamp plant native to North America, with a pol-forming habit. The blue-green leaves are elongated, ovate to narrow, elliptical and covered with a wax coating, hence its English nickname: "never wets". Golden club blooms in May and June, with decorative arum-like, golden yellow flower cobs on beautifully contrasting white flower stems. Orontium aquaticum prefers a position in full sun or partial shade and a permanently moist clay or loamy soil, preferably with its feet in the water. This plant is fairly hardy, although it appreciates a sheltered place or winter protection. It is low maintenance, tolerates sea wind and has little trouble with pests or diseases.

Rosa "New Dawn" is a vigorous disease-resistant climbing rose that was produced around 1930 by h. A. Dreer was introduced. This climbing rose is firmly upright and has gray-green, slightly shiny leaves. It blooms in summer and autumn with medium-sized, semi-double, silver-pink to peach-colored flowers, which later turn pinkish-white. Rosa "New Dawn" prefers a position in the sun or partial shade and a slightly moist, but very well permeable soil. It does well in all soil types, but is still lime-loving. This rose is very hardy, tolerates sea wind and air pollution, attracts bees and insects, is resistant to disease and was the first rose to be patented at the time.

This rose has a bushy upright, well-branched, compact shape with medium-sized, dark green, highly glossy leaves. It blooms in summer with very double, nostalgic, spherical, blood-red flowers (diam. 7 cm) and the finish is pale pink. Phalaris arundinacea "Picta" is called variegated reed grass or canary grass in Dutch. It is a variegated, medium-sized, evergreen ornamental grass. The leaves are medium green to dark green with broad creamy white vertical stripes. Canary grass flowers from June to July with airy, narrow, light green flower panicles. This grass likes a sunny position and well-drained, moderately fertile soil. Pontederia cordata
Pontederia cordata, in Dutch called pike herb or swamp hyacinth, is a particularly rewarding aquatic plant for the small to large pond. With its special appearance, sloping habit and pointed heart-shaped, dark green leaves combined with the beautiful blue elongated flower spikes, it offers the pond an exotic look. Pontederia cordata prefers a position in full sun or partial shade, a somewhat loamy soil and a water depth of between 20 and 60 cm. If you plant the plant at a minimum height of 30 cm, you do not need to take additional protective measures during the winter. If you want to keep the plant in the shallow swamp zone of the pond, you will have to put an extra leaf cover on top of the plant during the winter as protection against frost.
