Calycanthus 'Venus'
Calycanthus 'Venus' is a spreading, multi-stemmed, deciduous shrub with narrow ovate to elliptical green leaves that turn yellow in fall.
Forms pale yellow buds that open with magnolia-like creamy white flowers with a purple center. Flowers in early summer with a small after-bloom later on.
The shrub itself is not very attractive visually, but the flowering is and is more suitable for standing at the back of the border.

Lychnis flos-cuculi
Lychnis flos cuculi (syn. Silene flos cuculi), also called cuckoo flower, is a native perennial with a columnar upright habit and gray-green, lance-shaped, grass-like leaves. The main bloom takes place in May and June, but the cuckoo flower often flowers again from August to October. The flowers are star-shaped and purplish-pink to almost violet. They have five petals that are deeply incised. Lychnis flos cuculi prefers a position in full sun or partial shade and moderately fertile, well-drained, but sufficiently moist soil. Once established, this lychnis is also fairly drought tolerant. The real cuckoo flower is hardy, tolerant to sea wind and air pollution, good disease resistance and little trouble with pests.

The Camellia japonica or Japanese rose is an evergreen garden plant with dark green leathery glossy leaves. Camellia is fairly hardy. However, this plant must be protected in case of severe frost. Therefore, plant this camellia in a sheltered, wind-free place. Camellias like an acid-loving, permeable soil, preferably not too wet. When planting, add an additional amount of peat into the planting hole. Pruning is best done in the spring after flowering.

Lysichiton camtschatcensis
Lysichiton camtschatcensis, also called white swamp arum. This perennial has an upright and clump-forming habit. The dark green leaves look a bit like banana leaves and can grow up to 1 meter long. Lysichiton camtschatcensis blooms in April and May with arum-like flowers, a 30 cm green, long spike emerges and it is surrounded by a beautiful, white bract.
