Caryopteris cland. 'Grand Blue'

Caryopteris clandonensis 'grand bleu', small deciduous shrub up to 1.25 m high and wide, with an upright form and very profusely flowering with sweetly scented dark blue flower panicles. The grey-green, lanceolate leaves are also aromatic and smell like mint when touched or rubbed. The size and prolonged flowering from July to October make this caryopteris a special (semi) shrub for the mixed border or small garden, it is also drought tolerant and suitable for the urban environment or use as a coastal plant.
