Sedum spath. 'Cape Blanco'
Sedum spathulifolium "Cape Blanco", also called stonecrop, is an evergreen succulent with a ground-covering, carpet-forming habit and fleshy, spatula-shaped, silver-gray leaves in rosettes. In autumn a spectacular fall color follows with shades from bronze red to red purple. Sedum spathulifolium "Cape Blanco" blooms in June and July with very small, yellow, star-shaped flowers. This stonecrop likes a position in full sun and a very well-drained, slightly acidic, neutral or calcareous, dry soil. This sedum is hardy, drought tolerant, tolerates sea wind and air pollution, and the plant attracts butterflies and bees.
