Rhododendron 'Rocket'
Rhododendron 'Rocket' is a medium-sized, evergreen, rhodo with a rounded upright shape. The leaves are leathery, thick, shiny, dark green in color, the young leaves are bronze-colored. This shammarello hybrid blooms mainly in the month of May, with pink to pink-red funnel-shaped flowers with a darker scarlet pattern in the throat and curled petals. Rhododendron 'Rocket' prefers a location in filtered sunlight or partial shade, sheltered from strong winds and with a shaded root zone. It requires an acidic, moist, well-drained soil that should never be allowed to dry out completely, requires little pruning and is very hardy.

Berberis julianae
Berberis julianae or the Chinese barberry is one of the largest varieties used, this evergreen species is a large upright shrub with a rounded crown and slightly drooping branches. Golden-yellow flowers appear in spring and blue-purple berries in autumn. It is also a good bee plant because of its particularly profuse flowering.
