Woodsia obtusa

The Woodsia obtusa is called Wimpervaren in Dutch. This small deciduous fern likes a sheltered position in half shade or in the shade. A well-permeable, humus-rich, moist, lime-poor soil is recommended. Woodsia obtusa is hardy, fairly tolerant to air pollution and, once well established, is sufficiently drought resistant. This fern is suitable for the woodland garden, informal garden, rock garden, gravel garden and can also be used as underplanting shrubs and trees.
