Decorative Grasses

An ornamental grass is a grass-like plant that is used for its special decorative value. Examples of ornamental grass are various types of Miscanthus (beautiful reed), Cortaderia (pampas grass), Carex (sedge), Molinia (pipe straw), Festuca (fescue grass), Panicum (finger grass), Pennisetum (lamp cleaner grass) and Stipa (feather grass). Bamboo, which has been used in Japanese horticulture for centuries, also falls botanically under the grasses (Poaceae) and is therefore actually an ornamental grass.  Source: Wikipedia
