Delphinium 'King Arthur', this medium height delphinium from the pacific giant group is a deciduous perennial with an upright shape. The leaves are three to five lobes, finely divided and medium green to dark green in color. Delphinium 'King Arthur' blooms from June to August with semi-double purple-blue to violet-colored flowers with a white eye on firmly upright stems. Removing faded flowers is important to stimulate re-flowering.This delphinium likes a position that is sheltered from the wind in full sun and prefers a soil that is not too acidic, fertile and well-drained. The plant is very hardy, attracts bees and butterflies and is also suitable for an urban environment.
