Hosta fortunei 'aureomarginata' is a variegated heart lily with a pol-forming habit, this deciduous perennial has attractive, thick, shiny, dark green, heart-shaped leaves with a golden yellow margin and blooms in July and August with violet-colored funnel-shaped flowers on long upright flower stems. hosta fortunei 'aureomarginata' prefers a position in partial shade and does well in any fertile, well-drained and moist soil. This hosta is hardy, tolerant of sea wind, tolerates air pollution reasonably well and is generally disease free. Often used in shade gardens, partial shade borders and Japanese gardens.
