Aster cord. 'Little Carlow'

Aster cordifolius "little carlow", is a bushy upright autumn aster with smooth-edged, lanceolate, mid to dark green leaves. This cordifolius hybrid blooms abundantly from September to the end of October with violet-blue daisy-like flowers with a yellow center. It likes a sunny position or light shade and fertile, well-drained, slightly moist soil. It is very hardy, attracts many butterflies, bees and insects and is also very tolerant to sea wind and air pollution. It is fairly resistant to mildew but can occasionally be plagued by botrytis and leaf spot.
