Juncus ensifolius

Juncus ensifolius, in Dutch sword russet or also called dwarf bush, is an evergreen perennial from North America. this sword rush has light green to medium green, sword-shaped leaves. Juncus ensifolius flowers during the summer with discrete yellow-green to light brown spikelets. It likes a position in full sun or light shade and a slightly acidic to neutral, moist to wet soil, once the plant is well established it can also tolerate temporary drought well. Sword rush is very hardy, tolerates sea wind, salt, air pollution, is pest free and has few problems with diseases.
