Sesleria autumnalis

Sesleria autumnalis, called blue grass in Dutch, is a small, clump-forming, evergreen ornamental grass with narrow linear, light green rough-haired leaves. The plant flowers in September and October with greenish, later narrow, silver-white, graceful flower spikes. Sesleria autumnalis prefers a position in full sun or light shade, a well-permeable, preferably calcareous sand or pebble soil. This ornamental grass is very hardy and drought tolerant, it tolerates sea wind and air pollution without any problems. Very suitable for group planting or as a ground cover.
