Miscanthus sinensis 'Silberspinne', usually called splendor reed, is a medium-sized deciduous grass. This beautiful reed has a bushy, compact shape with narrow, linear, medium-green leaves with a silver-white center stripe, which turn a beautiful orange-red color in autumn. Miscanthus sinensis 'Silberspinne' flowers from September to October with first silver-pink flower panicles that turn creamy white to light brown later in autumn.
