Liatris spic. 'Floristan Weiss'
Liatris spicata 'Floristan Weiss', called lamppoetser in Dutch, is a deciduous perennial with a bushy, clump-forming and upright habit. The leaves are narrow, elongated, lanceolate, dark green to medium green and grassy in appearance. This lamp cleaner blooms from July to September with long white flower spikes, flowering starts at the top and slowly descends. Liatris spicata likes a position in full sun or partial shade and is ph flexible and does well in any well-permeable (light) soil type. The plant is very hardy and drought tolerant, reasonably resistant to sea breeze and air pollution and attracts numerous butterflies and bees during the flowering season.
