Clematis alpina, also called forest vine in Dutch, is a deciduous climbing plant with a vigorous upright growth. The leaves are medium green in color, lanceolate, toothed and triple. This woodland vine blooms in April and May with blue to mauve nodding flowers with creamy white stamens. Clematis alpina likes a position in partial shade or full sun and requires a neutral to calcareous, well-drained soil. This plant is good to very hardy, attracts butterflies and bees and is suitable for wall planting, trellis or pergola vegetation.

Acca sellowiana
Acca Sellowiana, syn. Feijoa sellowiana, called pineapple guava in Dutch, is a medium-sized evergreen shrub from South America, with a bushy habit and decorative, green elliptical leaves with a silver-grey underside. This Brazilian guava flowers from June to October with fragrant, pink-white flowers with bright red stamens, followed after fertilization by edible green-red fruits with a sweet and sour pineapple flavour. Acca sellowiana likes a sheltered position in full sun and a neutral to calcareous well-drained soil that is not too dry, especially during the fruit season. In our climate, this plant is only moderately hardy, when the mercury dips below 10°c, some winter protection is still recommended.

Acer capillipes, also called snake maple or striped bark maple, is a beautiful upright ornamental shrub with a round crown, which can reach a height of 8 to 12 meters at a blessed age (after 50 years). Acer griseum, also popularly called paper maple, is a small medium - usually - multi-stemmed maple species, with a beautiful airy crown and funnel-shaped growth. The bloom does not have much ornamental value: green-yellow flowers on downy hairy stems raise the head. Bacopa caroliniana
Bacopa caroliniana, in Dutch called water hyssop or broad bacopa, is an evergreen aquatic plant with a carpet-forming, creeping or floating habit. The oval, aromatic leaves are light green to brown-red colored (in bright sunlight), the plant blooms in spring and summer with small bell-shaped lilac-blue flowers both above and under water, but the flowers under water rot very quickly.
