Alisma plantago-aquatica, in Dutch called large water plantain, is a deciduous aquatic plant with a high upright, widely distributed habit. The leaves are spoon-shaped, colored gray-green to silver-green. Water plantain blooms from June to August with white to pinkish white flowers in a loose panicle-shaped inflorescence. Alisma plantago-aquatica likes a position in full sun and prefers to stand 10 to 30 cm deep with its feet in the water, although it can also temporarily cope with drier conditions. Chamaemelum nobile 'Treneague' has the Dutch name Loopkamille. Camomile is a low-growing and evergreen perennial. The final height is 5 cm. Chamomile does not flower, but if you walk over the Chamaemelum nobile 'Treneague' it smells wonderful. It is advisable to grow the Chamaemelum nobile 'Treneague' between tiles or in the gravel or another pavement. Treneague '(runner chamomile) is also sometimes used as a substitute for lawn.

Cyrtomium fortunei
Cyrtomium fortunei, in Dutch called narrow iron fern, is a beautiful large fern, originating from East Asia, which has recently also spread in nature in the Netherlands and Belgium. This herbaceous fern has long-stemmed, single-pinnate, matte, light green leaves, which are composed of 20 pairs of sickle-shaped leaf segments. This iron fern likes a sheltered position in partial shade or shade and a well-drained, humus-rich, moist soil. Cyrtomium fortunei is fairly hardy, tolerant of sea wind and air pollution and once well established it can handle drier periods. Iron fern does not suffer from pests and is also disease resistant.

Rosa 'Aprikola'
Rosa 'Aprikola', syn. R. 'Kororbe' is a small to medium-sized rose that was introduced by Kordes in 2000, it is also offered as a standard rose. This rose has a bushy, broad, branchy shape and has dark green, serrated glossy leaves. It blooms in summer and fall with medium-sized, semi-double, light-scented, apricot-yellow flowers that bloom bright apricot-to-pink. Rosa 'Aprikola' likes a sunny position and a slightly moist, but very well permeable soil, it does well in all soil types. This floribunda rose is hardy, tolerates sea breeze and air pollution, attracts bees and insects, is well disease resistant, but can occasionally be plagued by rose rust and mildew from which it usually recovers.

Cynara scolymus
Cynara scolymus, syn. Cynara cardunculus subsp.flavescens wiklund or in Dutch: artichoke is a deciduous perennial with a sturdy upright shape and thick, gray-green, thistle-like leaves. The plant blooms from July to September with compact, bulbous, thistle-like purple flowers that contain a lot of nectar and attract bees, bumblebees and butterflies. Cynara scolymus likes an open spot in full sun and requires well-drained, fertile soil that is not too wet during the winter months. The plant is fairly hardy, but can always use good winter protection. Once established, artichoke is also fairly drought tolerant. Although the artichoke can tolerate a lot of wind and also salty soil, it does not like direct sea wind.
