Cotinus cogg. 'Royal Purple'
Cotinus coggygria 'Royal Purple' is usually grown as a deciduous shrub and can grow up to 3 to 5 m high and wide when mature. Striking are the oval-shaped leaves that appear blue-green in spring and turn golden yellow in autumn. The wig tree blooms profusely with lilac-pink feathered flower plumes and the whole looks a bit like a wig of small flowers... A place in full sun or partial shade and out of the wind is recommended. A neutral to calcareous soil suffices as a soil type. It is a good bee plant and is also air pollution tolerant.

Calla palustris
Calla palustris, called serpent root in Dutch, is a native swamp or riverbank plant, which has become rare in Belgium and the Netherlands, with an upright and creeping habit. The leaves are glossy, medium green, ovate with a heart-shaped base and acuminate at the apex. The main bloom of snakeroot takes place in the months of April to June, often followed by a rebloom in the fall. The flowers consist of a greenish-yellow spadix enveloped by a bright white funnel-shaped bract, they are faint and unpleasantly fragrant to humans. Calla palustris likes a spot in partial shade and a water depth of 15 cm to +10 cm, it prefers an acidic, mineral-rich soil.

Cotoneaster atropurpureus 'variegatus' syn. C.horizontalis 'variegatus' is a small deciduous dwarf medlar that grows only 50 cm high and 70 to 100 cm wide when mature. This cotoneaster has white variegated leaves that also show pink-red spots in the fall. From May to June it blooms with pink flowers, followed in autumn by many red berries.
