Sesleria heufleriana
Sesleria heufleriana, also called blue grass, is a small, clump-forming, evergreen ornamental grass with narrow, linear, spiky and rough-haired blue-gray to green-gray leaves with a silvery, white underside. The plant flowers from April to May, with creamy white spikes first, which turn an attractive dark purple later in the season. Sesleria heufleriana prefers a position in full sun or light shade and a well-permeable, preferably calcareous, sand or pebble soil. This ornamental grass is very hardy and drought tolerant, it tolerates sea breeze and air pollution without any problems and is virtually never bothered by diseases or pests. Very suitable for group planting or as a ground cover.
