Molinia arundinacea "Windspiel" (syn. Molinia caerulea subsp. Arundinacea), also called pipe straw, is a large, deciduous grass with tall flower stems and a pol-forming habit. The leaves are medium green, linear, grassy and turn a beautiful yellow color in autumn. This molinia blooms from August to November, with airy but sturdy purple-brown flower panicles, which turn yellow-brown later in summer and autumn. Molinia arundinacea "Windspiel" prefers a position in full sun or partial shade and is hardy, tolerant of sea wind and air pollution and generally both disease and pest free. This ornamental grass can be used as a solitary in borders, along the pond side in informal gardens and can also be used as a cut flower or dried flower.

Marsilea quadrifolia, also called cloverleaf fern, is a small, deciduous aquatic or marsh plant native to central and southern Europe, plus part of Asia.
