Pennisetum alop. 'Little Bunny'
Pennisetum alopecuroides "Little Bunny", in Dutch called lampshiner grass, is a small deciduous grass with a round, compact, clump-forming habit. The leaves are narrow linear, medium green, arcuate and overhanging, in autumn they turn a golden brown color. Pennisetum alopecuroides "Little Bunny" blooms from July to September with greenish, creamy-white flower spikes that turn gray-brown in autumn. This mini lamp-cleaner grass likes a position in full sun or partial shade and a well-permeable, moderately fertile, not too heavy soil. This pennisetum is reasonably to hardy and drought tolerant, tolerates sea wind and air pollution well.
