Chaenomeles superba 'jet trail' this ornamental quince is a sport (spontaneous mutation) of chaenomeles x superba 'scarlett wonder' , it is a creeping small perennial, which flowers in the months of arpil, May on bare wood and branches with young budding leaves. The flowers are creamy white, slightly fragrant and are followed in autumn by golden yellow, aromatic fruits, which somewhat resemble apples and are used in jam or in flower arranging. Ajuga reptans (ajuga repens), called creeping zenngreen in Dutch, is a semi-evergreen perennial with a low-growing, ground-covering habit. Creeping green pine likes a position in sun, partial shade or even shade and does well in almost any soil type. Alcea ficifolia is a sturdy perennial that lives longer than the biennial hollyhocks. This hollyhock has fig-shaped leaves, decoratively lobed. A major advantage of the A. ficifolia species is that it is much less sensitive to rust.

Chionanthus virginicus
Chionanthus virginicus, the snowflake tree or shrub, is particularly decorative and can grow up to 7m in good conditions. It flowers from May to June with graceful and delicately scented white plumes. The leaves are leathery, dark green on top and somewhat lighter in color below, turning yellow-green to brown in autumn. In September, olive-like almost black fruits also adorn the female Chionanthus shrub (if a male specimen is also nearby). The snowflake tree is well tolerant of air pollution and thus suitable for the urban environment. However, it is sensitive to wind and road salt.

Choisya 'Aztec Pearl' is a hybrid, a cross of choisya ternata and choisya arizonica. This fine-leaved cultivar blooms with star-shaped fragrant white flowers in May and sometimes even more in autumn. When the leaves are slightly bruised, a strong citrus scent is created to which the plant owes its Dutch name: Mexican orange blossom.
