Oenanthe aquatica
Oenanthe aquatica, also known as waterwort, is an indigenous pioneer plant for wet locations in Belgium and the Netherlands, with varying water levels. The plant is airy and upright, the leaves and flowers are on stems that are filled with marrow. The leaf above water has two or three pinnates, green with ovate, pointed slips and under water it is even more finely divided, actually you can best compare it with a chervil leaf. Water cog blooms from June to August, with umbels, full of scented, white, mini flowers. The plant prefers a position in full sun or partial shade and a moist position with varying water levels. Oenanthe aquatica is hardy, tolerant of sea wind and air pollution, attracts bees and bumblebees and also tolerates brackish water.

Oenanthe fistulosa "Flamingo", also known as piperwort, is a pioneer plant for wet locations, with varying water levels. Orontium aquaticum
Orontium aquaticum, also called golden club or golden butt, is a swamp plant native to North America, with a pol-forming habit. The blue-green leaves are elongated, ovate to narrow, elliptical and covered with a wax coating, hence its English nickname: "never wets". Golden club blooms in May and June, with decorative arum-like, golden yellow flower cobs on beautifully contrasting white flower stems. Orontium aquaticum prefers a position in full sun or partial shade and a permanently moist clay or loamy soil, preferably with its feet in the water. This plant is fairly hardy, although it appreciates a sheltered place or winter protection. It is low maintenance, tolerates sea wind and has little trouble with pests or diseases.

Agastache rugosa "alabaster", also called Korean mint or licorice plant, is a deciduous perennial with a bushy, upright shape and silver-green oval, roughly serrated leaves that are strongly aromatic. This licorice plant blooms continuously from July to the end of September with white flower spikes on long and upright flower stems, attracts bees and butterflies. This plant likes a position in full sun and does well in any soil type, although it prefers an alkaline soil. This agastache is reasonably to moderately hardy and will also sow spontaneously and produce offspring, but good winter protection is still recommended. Phalaris arund. 'Picta'
Phalaris arundinacea "Picta" is called variegated reed grass or canary grass in Dutch. It is a variegated, medium-sized, evergreen ornamental grass. The leaves are medium green to dark green with broad creamy white vertical stripes. Canary grass flowers from June to July with airy, narrow, light green flower panicles. This grass likes a sunny position and well-drained, moderately fertile soil. The plant is very hardy, reasonably drought tolerant, tolerates sea wind and air pollution well, has few problems with diseases and is rarely plagued by pests. However, it is a usurer, through its underground rhizomes it can spread quickly, so limiting is the message.

Ajuga reptans "Atropurpurea" (ajuga repens), called creeping zenngreen in English, is a semi-evergreen perennial with a low-growing, ground-covering habit. The plant blooms with blue to purple-hued minty flowers from late April to June. The leaves are oval-round, shiny, reddish brown to reddish purple. Creeping green pine likes a position in sun, partial shade or even shade and does well in almost any soil type. It is a good ground cover that sometimes dares to proliferate, it is very hardy, attracts bees and butterflies, but is not particularly tolerant to sea wind.
