Iberis semp. 'Weisser Zwerg'
Iberis sempervirens 'Weisser Zwerg' syn. 'little gem' is often called crooked chalice in Dutch. It is an evergreen perennial with a compact, low-growing habit and lanceolate and smooth-edged, dark green leaves. In April and May, this crooked calyx blooms with small whorl-shaped white flowers on short stems, followed later in autumn by yellow-white fruits. Iberis sempervirens is reasonably to hardy, very well tolerant to sea wind and air pollution, has little disease or pests, and once well established is also fairly drought tolerant.
