Paeonia lact. 'Felix Crousse'
Paeonia "felix crousse" is a very popular, pink-red peony, which blooms abundantly in June and July, with pleasantly scented, double, crimson, crown-shaped flowers and a diameter of about 15-20 cm. The lobed, pointed leaves are also attractive and first appear wine-red in the spring, only to evolve to dark green later in the course of the season. "felix crousse" prefers a position in full sun or partial shade and thrives in any deep, well-drained, humus-rich soil. This cultivar, more than 130 years old, is hardy and also tolerant of sea wind and air pollution.
